15 Best Early Amazon Prime Day Deals: Pixel Phones, Apple Watches, and Dyson Gear

since 2015, Amazon has held at least one Prime Day per year. It’s the annual sales event where the retailer slashes prices on thousands of products across its online store. Over time, Prime Day has become two full days of shopping instead of one, and in 2022 it was two Prime Day events, one in the summer and one in the fall (because money). This year’s Prime Day event falls on July 11th and 12th, and starts at 3:00 AM Eastern Time.

You’ll need to be a Prime subscriber to take advantage of the discounts (here’s a free 30-day trial; set a reminder to cancel it before it auto-renews), but there̵[ads1]7;s plenty of deals for anyone who isn’t a member. WIRED will be looking for the best deals throughout the event, but there’s good news: The price drop has already started. We’ve rounded up the best early Prime Day deals we’ve found here — at Amazon and other retailers — and we’ll keep this story updated over the next few weeks. Our Prime Day Shopping Guide is full of tips to help you navigate the event like a pro.

Updated 24 June 2023: We have added new offers and removed old ones.

Apple Watch Series 8.

The Apple Watch Series 8 (8/10, WIRED recommends) is our favorite Apple Watch. (The 41mm version is also on sale for $329.) Most people will be fine with the new second-generation Watch SE, but this model includes an electrocardiogram, an always-on display, a skin temperature sensor for better period tracking, a more accurate heart rate monitor , and the ability to measure the oxygen level in the blood. Check out our guide to the best Apple Watch accessories to get the most out of your smartwatch.

This bundle includes the Pixel Buds A-Series (our favorite wireless earbuds) for the same price as the brand new Pixel 7A, which is our favorite Android phone for most people (8/10, WIRED recommends). The phone is powerful and has wireless charging and a nice bright screen – oh, and some of the best cameras you’ll find for the money. It will be supported for many years to come, so you don’t have to upgrade right away.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are some of the best wireless earbuds on the market, especially if you own an Android phone. They are comfortable and have excellent sound quality in addition to active noise reduction. We wish the battery lasted longer, but otherwise these are hard to beat – especially for the price.

Amazon Echo Dot Kids

You must have a Prime membership to get this deal. If you are looking for a speaker for a child, the Amazon Echo Dot Kids (5th generation) is one of the best choices. It has music and audiobooks and a free year of Amazon Kids+ (usually $3 a month) that includes content designed for kids ages 3 to 12 and exclusive from brands like Disney, Lego and Marvel.

This is one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked on this solid state drive. You can insert it into your PC if you have an M.2 drive, or a PlayStation 5 to expand the storage space. Other storage sizes are on sale, as is the version without the heatsink. It packs plenty of storage and is super fast – we recommend it in our How to Build a PC guide.

Clip the coupon on the page to see the discount at checkout. We love Anker’s MagSafe wireless chargers. This also works as a power strip for the desk or the living room. It has three AC outlets on the back, two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, one of which is capable of providing 65 watts of power (enough to charge a MacBook). WIRED review editor Julian Chokkattu has been using it for the past year without issue.

Our favorite portable tablet charger can charge an 11-inch tablet twice, while being slim enough to fit into the padded sleeve of most backpacks. (It can also charge a laptop in a flash, though it won’t work for something as powerful as a MacBook Pro.) It has both a USB-C and USB-A port and an LED display that shows the percentage of power which remains in the bank.

The tears of the kingdom

The price reduction will only appear when you add the product to the shopping cart. This is the first and best discount we’ve seen for the latest installment in The Legend of Zelda franchise. Play as Link and search for Princess Zelda to uncover the mysteries of the kingdom in the sky. It’s very similar Breath of the Wild but offers many quality of life improvements. Read our full review here.

We haven’t tried these oven mitts before, but we’ve had good experiences with KitchenAid products, and $7 is $7. These are of the mini type, meaning they only cover your fingers while handling hot objects. They are better suited for pulling small pans off the stove rather than carrying a hot frying pan inside when grilling outside. The silicone grip will help you keep a good grip on what you’re moving.

This is our favorite budget office chair, and it often drops at this price. The breathable mesh fabric means you won’t get too hot in the seat, plus it comes with a headrest. There are quite a few adjustable components and it goes back.

This is our favorite mesh Wi-Fi option for people with larger homes. This is a 3-pack and offers three gigabit Ethernet ports on the main router and two on the nodes. The setup can be difficult, but once you get going, the speeds, coverage and stability are excellent. Read more in our guide to the best mesh Wi-Fi systems.

Do you just want a single cup of coffee? The Braun MultiServe Coffee Maker (8/10, WIRED Recommends) can make you a full pot of coffee or brew a single cup, making it the best of both worlds between regular coffee makers and a Keurig. Bonus: It has a rare certification from the Specialty Coffee Association.

Amazon will automatically discount your order at checkout when you spend at least $50 on select items. There’s a huge variety in this sale, with items ranging from pet food and school supplies to pantry staples and housewares. Do you need to stock up on washing-up liquid, granola bars, dog bags or vitamins? It’s worth checking out this deal.

Dyson Corral

The Dyson Corrale (8/10, WIRED Recommends) delivers amazing, silky results on even super-curly hair, but that performance comes at a price. That’s why it’s extra exciting to see it on sale right now.

This cheap electric toothbrush is even cheaper right now. Philips One is slim enough to feel like a normal toothbrush and has gentle vibrations if you’re not looking for something powerful. It comes with a small case for travel. Selected colors are on sale.

Other stores have started offering competing deals that don’t require an Amazon Prime membership (and others likely will). Here is a list of sellers who can get in on the action.
