1,000+ streams to the new Cincinnati Kroger store in downtown opening

That's what people have called the missing puzzle of a thriving center. "This Kroger store was a vacant lot a year or two ago, but look what we have now," said Noel Prows, a resident of Mount Auburn. New Kroger downtown opened on Court Street Wednesday for a massive crowd of city leaders, downtown residents and workers. Prows was one of hundreds that showed up, some as early as the night before 23 to check the store on two levels. "The location is just about perfect. Mount Auburn is just across the street from Liberty Street, so it literally takes me just a few minutes to bike here or to walk here or to also take the streetcar here so I will use this shop quite often," Prows.Kroger representatives said there are two main audiences they wanted to meet. First up: The people living in the center who wanted a large production section. They got it. But there are also the people who work downtown that got a whole tour section, including a full-service salad bar. The crowd did not leave all day. People looking for lunch or checking out the new neighborhood business could take a bite from the restaurants in the brand new 7,000-square-foot facility on the second floor, which also has a bar, patio and entertainment. "I love the fact that they use some local businesses, especially like Django," says Prows. "I don't come to Northside as much as I want, so now I can have Northside here downtown." Parking is free with a $ 1

5 purchase. The store will be open every day from 1 p.m. 6am to 10pm.

That's what people have called the missing puzzle of a thriving center.

"This Kroger store was a vacant lot a year or two ago, but look what we have now," said Noel Prows, a native of Mount Auburn.

The new Kroger center opened on Court Street Wednesday for a massive crowd of city leaders, downtown residents and workers.

Prows was one of hundreds who showed up, some as early as the 23rd the night before to check the store on two levels.

"The location is just about perfect. Mount Auburn is just across the street from Liberty Street, so it literally takes me just a few minutes to cycle here or to walk here or to take a tram here, so I use this one shop quite often, "Prows said.

The crowd didn't relax all day. People looking for lunch or checking out the new neighborhood business could take a bite from the restaurants in the brand new 7,000-square-foot facility on the second floor, which also has a bar, patio and entertainment.

"I love the fact that they use some local businesses, especially like Django," Prows said. "I don't come to Northside as much as I want, so now I can have Northside here downtown."

Parking is free with a $ 15 purchase. The shop will be open every day from 6 am to 10 pm
