1 stabbed at San Francisco BART Station – NBC Bay Area

Police are investigating a stabbing that happened at a BART station in San Francisco on Wednesday, officials said.

San Francisco police told NBC Bay Area that one person was stabbed. No other details were released.

BART police are still investigating and reviewing video surveillance footage, according to BART spokeswoman Anna Duckworth.

The transit agency issued an alert regarding the closed station around 6 p.m., saying trains were running through the Civic Center and not stopping.

As of 7:05 p.m., BART was recovering and normal service had resumed. There is still a major delay in the entire system due to police activity, officials said.
